There are reports saying that the US has agreed to lead some sort of international response to the Houthis, but this has not been confirmed.

The Houthis have blocked commerce through the Red Sea to Israel. They’ve said that they would blow up or seize any vessel transporting goods to and from Israel that attempts to sail past them.

It’s not known if the US has the military or political means to do anything about the Houthi blockade. It isn’t like the people running the US military are great geniuses or anything. They’ve also had a fairly horrible streak of failures in recent years.
