At this point, it wouldn’t surprise me if the Ukraine started asking for nukes. This whole thing has spiraled totally out of control.
They’re obviously trying to make the most out of their successful counteroffensive operation. They are pointing to it to tell the West that they deserve more money and more toys because of this single battle that they won. Keep in mind, this is literally the only battle they’ve won. The operation was coordinated by the West with the best available military units they had left.
This victory is likely to be short lived. The Ukrainians are massively outgunned and do not have the logistical infrastructure that the Russians have.
The significance of the victory has been greatly exaggerated by Western propaganda outlets.
