SI was once a major cultural institution in America providing detailed coverage of the sports world. Regardless of what you think of sports and the insane nigger circus it has mostly devolved into, SI did play a prominent cultural role throughout 20th century America. The magazine was huge in the pre-Internet era.
It is probably for the best that SI is going away though. It like many things that were once considered a staple American brand, degraded into something unrecognizable. The people who took over the brand did all sorts of terrible things and recently got caught using artificial intelligence and fake writers.
Sports Illustrated has become a disaster. Private equity purchases, cost-cutting, AI articles, and now the entire team is getting laid off. SI used to be the gold standard & something I looked forward to every week as a kid. 70 years of history ruined in just 5 years. This sucks. https://t.co/Oyo7cIpYbW

Like why would you put fat sluts and trannies in the swimsuit edition? Were they deliberately trying to turn their male readers into homosexuals?
It’s really amazing how major American brands have been totally ruined over the past few decades through absolutely ridiculous mismanagement and stupid decision making. SI is just the latest of many examples.
