The United States is hilariously demanding that Russia return the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power planet back to the Ukraine. The Russians have no reason to give up control over this important infrastructure.

What Ukrainian advance is CNN talking about? Even if there was a real military advance, how is this single nuclear power plant impeding them from advancing?
The more important question is why Ukrainian forces have been shelling this nuclear power plant that they are now demanding Russia return to them. Russia has mostly allowed the plant to operate normally until the Ukrainians started attacking it.
The plant was reportedly disconnected from the grid but is now being reconnected to the grid.

It is a very confusing situation. The behavior from the Ukrainian side is becoming increasingly bizarre and strange. Attacking a nuclear power plant and then demanding control over it after your attacks failed to do anything is not rational behavior. They are just flailing around and don’t appear to have any coherent strategy.
