The far-right campaigner and English Defence League founder got into hot water at his campaign launch when the police told him that he was breaking the electoral law by providing free food to people.
Electoral Commission guidance states that “treating” is a criminal offence committed by “directly or indirectly giving or provide any food, drink, entertainment or provision to corruptly influence any voter”.
Now, Robinson – whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon – has been hit with a fresh setback after Twitter blocked an account representing his MEP campaign within days of his bungled campaign launch.
The UK is such a cluster fuck of a country. Free country my ass. You can be a war criminal like Tony Blair and not have anything happen to you but even if you are a moderate right-winger running for political office, police will threaten you if you give free food to people.
