We’ll see how this plays out but this could be good news for channel owners. All depends on how it is implemented though.
Quite frankly, the entire landscape of social media generally sucks. That includes the sites and services in the so-called “alt-tech” sector. They have all sorts of various problems.
Telegram isn’t perfect by any stretch of the imagination but it at least allows a “freer” flow of information than most services these days.
There’s just generally much more freedom on the apps and services being produced by Russia and China. Telegram is a Russian app. That’s why I generally use Russia’s Yandex for searches. Plus, Russia isn’t funneling any of my information to the assholes at the US National Security Agency which sends all the information they collect to Israel.
