I stopped watching professional sports years ago. The fact that these sports teams are pushing politics on people is just another reason to boycott these enterprises. Quite frankly, these professional sports leagues are a shell of their former selves. They’re no longer the cultural and societal force that they were decades ago and are slowly fading into irrelevancy. They definitely aren’t doing themselves any favors by continuing to push political agendas like this.
