Israel recently did some ridiculous flag raising ceremony on a beach in Northern Gaza.

Typically these types of flag raising ceremonies are done after a major military victory. You don’t do them after occupying some random beach unless it is for propaganda purposes.

The fact that they’re doing this now before anything significant has been won is very telling. While the Jews have been very good at slaughtering innocent people by dropping bombs on hospitals, ambulances, mosques, residential buildings and refugee camps, there hasn’t been a whole lot of footage showing them killing Hamas fighters. There is however quite a bit of footage showing Hamas fighters and other Palestinian militants attacking and disabling a number of Israeli tanks that appear to just be driving around aimlessly with no accompanying infantry forces.

I’ve said previously that Israeli ground forces are not very good. I don’t think their chances of defeating Hamas is very good. When you turn a city into rubble as is the case with Gaza City, the situation typically favors the defender. The Jews will also have to deal with a complex Hamas tunnel system that further complicates the matter.

The Jews are going to have a difficult time in this fight. This could be why Hezbollah has not yet done a full invasion from the north. It is possible that they believe Hamas can get Israel totally bogged down in Gaza and then at an opportune time they could launch a full invasion from the north.

We’ll just have to see what happens with all this. At this point there is nothing certain. It is a highly unstable and unpredictable situation.
