I have not been paying much attention to this dumb story about dead vlogger Gabby Petito and the search for her boyfriend Brian Laundrie who was the primary suspect in her murder. This largely unimportant story was clearly a drama hyped by the national media as a way to distract the public and namely millennial women from the virus hoax, the forced-vaxxing, supply shortages and all the other bad stuff that’s happening.
There was a nationwide manhunt for Laundrie. Even Dog the Bounty Hunter got involved with it to help further stress the importance of this case. But now, the FBI is saying that they just happened to find the remains of Laundrie in a Florida swamp.
#UPDATE: On October 21, 2021, a comparison of dental records confirmed that the human remains found at the T. Mabry Carlton, Jr. Memorial Reserve and Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park are those of Brian Laundrie. @FBITampa pic.twitter.com/ZnzbXiibTM

The fact that Laundrie’s body was found in a swamp thousands of miles away from Wyoming where Pettito’s body was said to be found is very strange.
I’m actually questioning if any of this story is real. The FBI involvement strengthens the possibility that this story or at least parts of the story are gross fabrications. The FBI has been involved in manufacturing all sorts of hoaxes, the 1/6 fake insurrection being the most recent prominent example.
The QAnon crowd thinks it is a hoax.
QAnon conspiracy theorists have decided that Gabby Petito's disappearance is a hoax in order to distract people from other news stories, or that the 22-year-old doesn't even exist. https://t.co/HIi61pQAGN

They’re right to be skeptical. The FBI couldn’t find him for over a month and then just a short time after Laundrie’s parents agreed to help with the search they discover his body in a swamp along with his several of his belongings.
so you’re telling me the fbi looked for brian laundrie for 5 weeks… then they open the reserve, and call off the search… and then when his parents decide to go look on their own, within a few hours they find his belongings and the medical examiner gets called out?? yeah ok

Some have theorized that Petito and Laundrie aren’t real people and were portrayed by actors to play out this murder drama in the public sphere. This is not an implausible scenario considering what we saw with Sandy Hook and other strange events over the years. I personally believe Sandy Hook was a hoax as there was never any evidence presented that children were shot and killed. Many of the parents appeared to be acting for the media as part of an agenda to support gun control efforts.
All that aside, I’m not sure what to believe with this case, but the whole thing feels weird. There’s certainly a non-zero chance that this whole thing was a staged hoax by the FBI but this also can’t be definitively proven either. Ultimately, the whole thing is a distraction from far more important matters.
