More news on the recent Tesla layoffs. It turns out that Elon Musk decided to eliminate the entire team responsible for building supercharger stations around the country.

These supercharger stations were the only thing allowing people to make any sort of reasonably long distance trip with these horrendously gay electric vehicles. It was also one of the last competitive advantages for Tesla even though Musk accepted government money which allowed competitors to also use their network of charging stations.
Eliminating the entire team responsible for building stations raises all sorts of questions about the future of this infrastructure and the EV industry as a whole.
