It’s very funny to see all of this.
I think there is a good chance that the teacher is just being a troll. Canada as a country like the West has become a big dysfunctional mess. You can’t even call what we have a society because of how ridiculous everything has become.
The teacher wins either way. If the school refuses to fire him, they will continue to be on the receiving end of protests. If they fire the teacher, he can sue for discrimination and get millions of dollars.
This situation has only arisen because of what a cartoonish farce Canada has become. No normal society would ever let things escalate to this point.
