It looks as if Twitter is going to abide by new European Union laws that limit free speech on the Internet.
Twitter CEO Elon Musk has confirmed that #Twitter will bow down to new European laws on censorship. The new laws say that if a company, even a US one, violates the #EU's rules they have to pay a fine of up to 6% of their annual revenue pic.twitter.com/D5CHvDmpwz

NEWS: After his meeting with Modi, Elon responded to the recent political firestorm in India about claims of censorship against Twitter.
Elon: "If we don't obey local government laws, we will get shut down, so the best we can do is to work close to the law in any given country" pic.twitter.com/B4yFGrEGei

It doesn’t really matter all that much to me since there isn’t free speech on Twitter. Sure, it is better than it was under the prior management regime, but there are people still banned with no explanation.
My original account was never restored and looks as if might have just been deleted by their administrators.
You also have people like Andrew Anglin, Nick Fuentes and Alex Jones banned. Jones has been banned because Musk is apparently mad at him for his Sandy Hook conspiracy views and no explanation has been offered for the Anglin and Fuentes bans.
