Self-immolation has widely been considered one of the most extreme forms of political protest one could engage in.
I guess this person really did not like what the Jews have been doing in Gaza and I can’t blame them. The Jews are committing a genocide and many people who are in a position to do something about this are not doing anything to stop it.
The protester was not successful in self-immolating themselves to death. They might want to go for a second round since living with serious burn injuries is not a fun experience. Death in most cases would be preferable in such a situation.
