The old Arizona rancher who was tried for murder over the death of a brown invader who trespassed onto his property will not be retired. The case against him ended in a mistrial but there was talk that they might attempt to retry him despite this being a case of “double jeopardy” etc.. It looks like they decided not to do this because of how bad it would look if they did that.

It was absurd that he was tried to begin with. A bunch of armed brown invaders in camouflage came onto his property. Even if it was proven that he did shoot and kill the dead invader he had every right to do that. There was also never any physical evidence he shot the brown invader he eventually found dead on his property.
This whole case was an exercise of extreme racial hatred directed at this old rancher guy because of his skin color.
