NASCAR is the latest sports franchise to go political. They have now banned the confederate flag from their events after facing pressure from communist mobs.

Pretty dumb move on NASCAR’s part.
Either way, the economy is going to be so bad, few people are going to be attending these sporting events like they did in the past. It is also probably not good business strategy to alienate a large portion of your fan base which consists mostly of White southerners whose heritage is directly linked to the confederacy. And seriously, how many blacks actually watch and follow NASCAR? I doubt many of them give a shit if people bring a confederate flag to these races. I also doubt that banning the confederate flag is going to make blacks want to watch NASCAR races.
But I’m honestly not sure how these large sports operations will be able to remain solvent considering how terrible the economic situation is. And that’s especially true if operations like NASCAR keep making political decisions like this.
Half the country is unemployed right now and if people have no money or food, they aren’t going to care about a bunch of cars racing around a circle. They are going to care even less if you piss them off.
