Interesting commentary here from Elon about the bot problem. Looks like Twitter didn’t even bother to block the IP addresses of obvious botnets prior to him taking over the company.
That’s my guess: small number of humans with large bot/troll armies. We are shutting down IP addresses of known bad actors today. Should have been done long ago.

This is good. Bots have been especially problematic in artificially promoting all sorts of lies and false narratives. They were especially used to hype up pro-Ukraine propaganda. It’s good to see that there are significant steps to shutting down all this lunacy.
