It looks like Elon Musk is going to fire lots of Twitter employees today. He previously said that he’d fire around 75 percent of the company’s staff, but it looks like he’s going to start by firing 50 percent of them.
Employees in Twitter just got an email from their bosses saying layoffs are coming tomorrow.
Those who are staying will get a note tomorrow in their work email. Those who are let go will get an email sent to their personal address.
Slot machine-style layoffs.

Twitter layoffs will begin on Friday, the company said in an email to staff, adding that its offices will be temporarily closed and all badge access will be suspended 'to help ensure the safety of each employee as well as Twitter systems and customer data' https://t.co/IsWjQ3FoVj

There’s already a lawsuit being filed over the layoffs.

As I’ve said previously, there is no reason for Twitter to have 7,500 people on the payroll. They appear to have had all sorts of useless project manager types and other people getting paid for not doing tangible work on the actual product. There was no reason for these people to have jobs there.
This huge workforce cut will also limit the staff’s capacity to censor and stifle speech, even if Musk still has that safety Jew Yoel Roth around. The fewer people who have the ability to close down accounts, blacklist etc.. the less censorship there will be.
I’ve been highly critical of Musk since he took control of Twitter. Namely because he’s said positive things about that awful faggot Jew Roth and met with a bunch of Jews about combating “hate” on the site. But the fact that Ye is being allowed to post and he’s doing this huge layoff gives me a little bit of optimism.
We’ll just see where this goes. Quite frankly, I just want free speech. The other things like $8 for verified status and other minor improvements Musk has been talking about are all fine and good but pale in comparison to free speech.
The people agree.
