Due to the extreme level of disinformation we are seeing from pro-Ukrainian social media accounts getting amplified everywhere, it is hard to get an accurate picture of what is going on in Ukraine and more specifically its capital city Kiev. Much of what we are seeing on social media is either outright lies, fabrications or trolls making fun of the pro-Ukraine propaganda.

I mean, you got posts like this out there.

If there was war and bloodshed happening, you’d think there’d be all sorts of footage and pictures of it, but we aren’t seeing anything at all like that.

Webcams which are showing live shots of Kiev aren’t showing anything out of the ordinary. The city is just quieter than normal because of all the people who have fled.

There’s negotiations underway as we speak.

The Russians only targeted military facilities and have no desire to harm the civilian populations. It is not in their interest to do so. If they did want to do this, bombs would be raining down on Kiev as we speak. Civilian infrastructure remains intact throughout the country.

Here’s an American who is in Kiev right now stating that life is relatively normal right now.

Reportedly, Russia has Kiev surrounded and they are letting people leave if they wish. Of course, this is unconfirmed but it is very possible considering that the Ukrainian side has agreed to negotiations.

But based on what we are seeing, there is no serious resistance to the Russian military actions other than a flood of bullshit propaganda and lies on social media.
