Ukrainian women fleeing what’s happening in their home country are reportedly traveling to the Czech Republic to do prostitution in large numbers. They’re being falsely portrayed as victims of evil pimps.

Pimps in the Czech Republic are luring Ukrainian refugee women into prostitution, with some even being “recruited” at the borders, Czech outlet Lidovky reported earlier this month, citing local sex workers’ aid groups.
“Most often they get into the sex business because of financial difficulties,” Zdenka Pekharova, coordinator for advocacy group Association for the Protection of Women, told the outlet, explaining that her organization had been tipped off about suspicious ads on erotic websites advertising Ukrainian women for a quarter of the price of local girls. The organization had previously reported that some women were even being “recruited” into prostitution at the border.
While the police were unable to confirm any criminal offense had been committed, Pekharova insists Ukrainian women are being victimized by pimps, and she recently submitted another report to the police after finding more suspicious ads.
Lots of Ukrainian women are just natural whores. I know this from personal experience. You’ll find Ukrainian women all over the world doing different types of prostitution. But it makes sense that they would go to the Czech Republic to do prostitution. Prague in particular has always been a huge sex tourism destination and the Czech Republic is somewhat geographically close to the Ukraine.
This idea that these women are being victimized by pimps is quite ridiculous. The vast majority of prostitutes, Ukrainian or otherwise, whore themselves out on their own accord. Many actually enjoy doing this work. Some of them will later claim to be victims of pimps or sex traffickers to try and gain sympathy after regretting that they whored themselves. So that’s where some of this narrative comes from.
The thing is, Ukrainian women were already whoring themselves all over the place before this war broke out. The war has expectedly resulted in more women getting into this line of work, but it really isn’t a new phenomenon. It is especially not new with Ukrainian females.
