Whoever is running Joe Biden’s social media account moronically decided to blame inflation on greedy corporations for not paying their fair share of taxes.
You want to bring down inflation?

What happened to blaming all of the inflation on Vladimir Putin? I guess that talking point wasn’t working very well so they decided to shift to an even dumber one.
Blaming corporations for not paying their fair share of taxes as a cause of inflation makes no sense at all. They’re not the source of the money supply. The Federal Reserve and its member banks are and they just spent the past several years creating gazillions of dollars out of thin air on computers.
At the same time, the government decided to lock people in their homes so they couldn’t go to work over a fake pandemic while spending trillions of dollars at the same time. All the inflation has been caused by a combination of the Federal Reserve’s money printing machine and insane government policies that have purposefully exacerbated the issue.
While I have problems with all these mega corporations like Amazon not paying any tax, they are merely taking advantage of a system that allows them to do this. Even if you jacked up taxes on companies like Amazon to the moon, it would do nothing about the inflation problem. In fact, all it would do is further ruin the economy and cause more inflation. These companies would just pass the cost of the additional tax burden onto their customers with higher prices.
The Biden statement was so dumb that even Amazon’s founder Jeff Bezos chimed in demanding the newly formed “Disinformation Board” investigate Biden’s tweet.

Even though I have many problems with Bezos, he is correct that these are two completely separate issues.
Bezos has been a major shill for this evil system, so if they’re starting to lose him, you know the system has gone entirely off the rails. He has rarely made public statements like this in the past, instead relying on his propaganda blog the Washington Post to shill for him. So the fact that he is now making more frequent personal statements on social media, seems to indicate that he is personally getting frustrated with some of what’s going on.
The government is literally being run by some of the most incompetent people imaginable. It appears as if some of the more old school Silicon Valley folks are starting to get fed up with it.
