There was a significant cyberattack that impacted many of Australia’s ports. It impacted terminals in some of Australia’s largest cities.

This begs the question I’ve been asking for years. Why is so much of Western infrastructure reliant on Internet connectivity, cloud services etc..? Critical infrastructure should not be exposed to potential attacks like this.
We don’t need everything on the Internet. There are numerous applications, functions and operations that would be much better off operating on analog versus operating on digital. It’s as if the security implications of all this wasn’t even considered.
