Tucker Carlson is going to be doing his show on Twitter.

Here’s his announcement.

I’ve been very critical of Tucker for a number of reasons. I am however interested in what he does with this as this whole situation could represent the end of cable news as an influential medium. He had the highest rated cable news show and now he will be doing it on Twitter. This marks a fairly significant shift in the media business.

I obviously hope he pushes the envelope on certain issues, but I am not optimistic that he will do this. The things he’s said about China, gay marriage, UFOs etc.. have been really weird. I guess all we can do is see what he does with the show.
