Immigration has obviously been an issue that the President hasn’t moved on as aggressively as we had hoped. It’s not all his fault though. He’s got a bunch of assholes in Congress to deal with and they haven’t been very cooperative.

The good news is that he just said that he’s willing to shut down the government if he doesn’t get what he wants on immigration. That includes the border wall, an end to the diversity lottery and other much needed reforms.

The Republicans need to get behind Trump’s agenda. If they don’t, it is to their political peril. Trump has the highest approval rating among Republicans in the history of the party.

If the shut down occurs before the midterms than so be it. Let the Democrats try to explain why they don’t want to implement common sense immigration reforms. Let them justify their open borders and pro crime agenda. These are not winning ideas and they will ultimately lose.
