How the hell can such a thing be a mistake?
They obviously did this intentionally. Most likely they did it to see how the public would react to a real invasion.
From the looks of things, nobody cared because most people in Taiwan view themselves as Chinese. Plus, most of the world recognizes Taiwan as part of China. All this talk about Taiwan’s independence is nothing but a bunch of bullshit.
But despite that you have kooks like John Bolton who have been calling for an American military presence on the island.
