Elon Musk responded to a post by Michael Tracey showing the policy Twitter had for abusive behavior back around 2015 before all the crazy bans and censorship started. He said that it made sense to return to this.

Basically back then, so long as you didn’t threaten violence against somebody or posted illegal material, you could post whatever you wanted. Twitter refused to mediate disputes between users and instructed users to contact the police if they felt a law was broken.
Of course, this all changed after Jack Dorsey started taking orders from the Jews at the Anti-Defamation League and other activist groups.
It was never sustainable for Twitter or any of these social media sites to go crazy with censorship. It was also bad business.
I fully support a return to the common sense policies Twitter had in place before everything went totally insane. That’s when Twitter was fun.
