Iran’s Ayatollah Khamenei has just been banned from Instagram and Facebook. They said that they banned him because of their policy that prohibits people who have an alleged “violent mission.”

If they’re so concerned about violence, why is Israel or the United States government allowed to maintain a presence on these sites? Israel is doing a literal genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza. The US government has been responsible for starting all sorts of endless wars everywhere around the world. They’re also supporting the genocide in Gaza.

Say what you want about the Ayatollah but the Ayatollah is not doing a genocide against any specific demographic group. This ban was obviously politically motivated and has nothing to do with their alleged concern about violence.

Interestingly enough, this ban happened just days after the Jew CEO of Meta Mark Zuckerberg was publicly trashed in a hearing by Josh Hawley and other Republican members of the United States Senate. They attacked him for not doing enough to protect children on his sites, which is not his responsibility. The primary responsibility of a child’s welfare is not some billionaire tech CEO. That responsibility rests with the parents.

As I’ve said before, this is like attacking the CEO of a phone company because people used their phone lines to call in a bomb threat. Zuckerberg can’t be held liable or responsible for what billions of people do on his sites. It’s just absurd to suggest this.

It seems as if the Republicans did all of this to send a message and Zuckerberg responded by banning the Ayatollah. He is probably hoping that by banning the Ayatollah that he can get all the Republican government people to end their harassment of him and his operations. After all, these Republicans are big pro-Israel shills.

The whole situation with social media is untenable. When these companies started banning people for political reasons, they stopped becoming public forums and effectively became publishers. This is why Zuckerberg is now in a position where he is wrongly being called to answer for the actions of all the people who use his site.

Whatever the case, banning the Ayatollah is just dumb. He’s the leader of a major country and people have a right to hear his thoughts on world events without interference. It couldn’t be any more clear that the biggest problem with social media is the lack of free speech on these sites. The Jews basically choose who is allowed and not allowed to address the global public square.
