Well, it looks like a government shutdown is not going to happen. Mitch McConnell has put forth a bill to avoid a government shutdown that would fund the government until February. This also means no border wall funding. While there hasn’t been much comment from the White House about this, it appears as if they’re going to agree to kick the can down the road.

It would appear as if POTUS has at least for now given up on trying to get border wall funding from Congress. He seems confident that he can use funds appropriated to the military to build it.

Of course, I’ll believe it when I see it. Hopefully they can pull it off without some Jewish judge making up some bullshit.

I just don’t get why Republicans are afraid of shutting down the government. Trump and the rest of the GOP should not be afraid to shutdown the government in order to get border security. It’s not like the world will come to an end if the government shuts down.

It’s just tough seeing Trump getting anything done legislatively over the next two years. If he couldn’t get the border wall fully funded with Republicans controlling both chambers of Congress, he sure as hell isn’t going to get it done with the Democrats in control of the House.
