The Iron Dome system does not have an infinite amount of resources. It can only shoot down so many rockets at once. Plus, each time a rocket is shot down, that’s an asset that has to be replaced in the Iron Dome arsenal.
Hezbollah is estimated to have over 100,000 rockets and that number could potentially be much higher. The Israelis simply won’t be able to shoot down everything that’s fired at them if they have to contend with attacks from both Hamas and Hezbollah simultaneously.
Israel has created a very big problem for themselves. There is no easy way out for them.
