Israel is claiming that their ground operation in Gaza is going very well. Their spokesman said that they have Hamas surrounded in Gaza City.
BREAKING: Israeli defence minister Yoav Gallant has confirmed that the IDF forces are in the heart of Gaza City.
He added that Hamas's Gaza leader has been surrounded in a bunker.

I have serious doubts about this claim. The Israelis mostly appear to be riding around in tanks and vehicles for show. There does not yet appear to be any serious attempt to clear out any of the Hamas tunnels.
Hamas has published all sorts of footage showing their fighters attacking Israeli tanks and armored personnel carriers. What’s notable about the clips is that there are no visible Israeli infantry forces to be seen with the vehicles they are attacking. At least not in any significant quantity.
At point-blank range, Hamas fighters engage and destroy an IDF Namer (Leopard) armoured personnel carrier in Al-Shati camp. The weapon used is a locally-produced tandem-charge Al-Yassin 105 round, fired from an RPG-7.

The Israeli ground forces are not good and they are fighting a group of people who have nothing to lose. Hamas fighters do not fear death and embrace it. I think the Israelis are lying about what’s happening on the ground. I mean, they’ve lied about everything else, so why wouldn’t they lie about this?
