Iran and Turkey are holding sideline talks at an economic summit in Central Asia about the current situation in Palestine.

We’ll see if these talks result in any significant changes.

Some Iranians have been accusing Turkey’s leader Erdogan of being an Israeli puppet for not doing more against the Jews.

Many Turks have also expressed disappointment at Erdogan not doing more.

These people are right to be upset. Erdogan has only made statements. His statements on Gaza are good statements but in the end they are just statements.

He hasn’t taken any major substantive action. He could block resources to Israel and take other actions but he has not.

It is similar to what we’ve seen with Hezbollah. Everybody expected that they were going to declare war last week against Israel last week and this did not happen. Hezbollah is instead keeping the Israeli military preoccupied with missile strikes and other attacks but they have not fully engaged with all of their power.

What I’m most interested in is if Turkey, Iran and the Arab states will eventually come together and create a formal military alliance against Israel.

Of course, it is also possible that Israel will end up destroying itself with its unhinged and crazy behavior. They are becoming more and more isolated the longer they continue with this insane genocide against the Palestinians in Gaza.
