The fuckery over at Gab is continuing and it is only getting worse.

Look at this post by Gab’s former Chief Technology Officer Rob Colbert. He claimed publicly to be working on some type of operation to dox and expose so-called “subversives” on Gab. He said that they’re building “dossiers” and that they are going to publish all sorts of material on people. Presumably these “subversives” are people that he and others inside of Gab don’t like.

This is really beyond the pale. Doxing is allegedly against Gab’s “Terms of Service” and here we have the site’s former CTO putting out public posts threatening some sort of revenge doxing operation against the site’s userbase.

It’s almost like somebody has ordered a self-destruct switch on the site and this is a plan to do as much damage as possible on the way out. Either that, or the plan is to turn it into a shittier version of Truth Social or Gettr in which case it would make sense for them to try and purge many of the real right-wing user accounts off of it.

The Krypto Report host Azzmador personally confronted Gab CEO Andrew Torba about all of this chicanery only to be ignored.

At time of writing it has been roughly 12 hours since Azzmador questioned Torba and nobody from Gab has made any public statement about all of this.

Azzmador also added the following in a separate post:

Gab has now turned into a hellhole of “pay or you can’t post media” and “if you don’t like it, keep your mouth shut or we will build a dossier on you from back-end data, and when confronted about this we will remain silent, and the former Gab CTO openly threatening the entire userbase with said op won’t get banned.”

This is pathetic. You couldn’t make this shit up if you tried, and damn you if you could or would.

That statement pretty much summarizes the existing situation. People have every right to criticize the decision to only let paid users post media. They also have every right to ask questions about why certain users have been banned on a site that was built on the promise to let people “speak freely.” There is certainly no reason for Gab’s former CTO to be making veiled threats against people who have such questions. They are valid criticisms. I mean, posting media has been a basic function of social media sites for well over a decade. So to claim that people are “whiners” for asking very valid questions about these changes is utterly retarded.

There’s just been an endless amount of bullshit and nonsense surrounding Gab since the site was launched.

This article from the Providence Post, is a well-documented piece featuring numerous source links detailing some of the weird history that has surrounded Gab. Even though I can’t personally endorse everything written in the article because there’s so much material in it, I know for a fact that many of the things it describes are definitely true because I remember them when they happened. It also provides all sorts of source links allowing the reader to draw their own conclusions. I do think the sheer amount of material they’ve dug up says a great deal on its own.

The whole situation is actually really sad. Many of us wanted Gab to succeed and even offered our support to help make it succeed. We just wanted a place to network and communicate with other people who shared our views. Instead, all we got was a raging dumpster fire of endless bullshit.
