Unfortunately, Cloudflare’s renewed stand for free speech on the Internet lasted just a few days. They folded to the tranny hate brigade and blocked the Kiwi Farms web forum from their service.

Cloudflare’s CEO Matthew Prince issued a bizarre statement describing an imminent emergency that required them to ban the site. Prince provided no details about the imminent emergency other than saying that they felt that there was an immediate threat to human life. He also said that because of this alleged threat, that they were forced to take action and ban the site.

Weirdly enough, he admitted in his own statement that their action could make the problem worse.

Cloudflare:

Finally, we are aware and concerned that our action may only fan the flames of this emergency. Kiwifarms itself will most likely find other infrastructure that allows them to come back online, as the Daily Stormer and 8chan did themselves after we terminated them. And, even if they don’t, the individuals that used the site to increasingly terrorize will feel even more isolated and attacked and may lash out further. There is real risk that by taking this action today we may have further heightened the emergency.

We will continue to work proactively with law enforcement to help with their investigations into the site and the individuals who have posted what may be illegal content to it. And we recognize that while our blocking Kiwifarms temporarily addresses the situation, it by no means solves the underlying problem. That solution will require much more work across society. We are hopeful that our action today will help provoke conversations toward addressing the larger problem. And we stand ready to participate in that conversation.

If you thought this could potentially make the problem worse, than why the hell did you ban them? It doesn’t make any sense.

Besides, it’s very possible that the trannies and their allies spammed Kiwi Farms with fake threats in order to convince them to ban the site from their services. It’s clear that whatever was going on was not completely investigated by Cloudflare before they made this decision. It’s not even clear why a random post on an Internet site would represent an imminent threat to human life.

Even if the threats were legitimate, suspending their service like this was an extremely rash decision. It really isn’t their role to police random posts on a web forum that they don’t even host. If they suspected their service was being used for some type of criminal activity, that criminal activity is law enforcement’s responsibility to deal with.

Kiwi Farms said that Cloudflare’s decision to ban them was done so without any discussion. They also said that they were unaware of any death threats that were posted on the site and that there was no communication from law enforcement about these alleged death threats that Cloudflare referred to in their statement.

It’s also very bizarre that Cloudflare would take it upon themselves to unilaterally deal with this while they were working with law enforcement. Especially if they didn’t even bother to engage in any sort of meaningful dialogue with Kiwi Farms.

What they did is no different than if the phone company suspended mobile phone services to someone who was suspected of engaging in criminal activity over a mobile phone. It isn’t the role of the phone company to police communications over their phone systems for criminal activity. Nor is it Cloudflare’s role to police all communications on websites that they provide their service for.

It was a stupid move. The site is already back online.

All Cloudflare did was make themselves look ridiculous. The trannies and their allies aren’t even appreciative of what they did for them.

This just means that there will be even more demands for them to serve as an Internet speech gatekeeper.

What gets me is that Prince understands full well that he is opening the flood gates by banning Kiwi Farms. Of course, the flood gates were pretty much already opened when he banned the Daily Stormer back in 2017. He apparently did not learn his lesson from that experience.
