Bed Bath & Beyond’s CFO apparently just killed himself by jumping off of New York City’s Jenga tower. This news comes after the company announced layoffs and store closures. There was also some class action lawsuit he was named in.

He was apparently living in the Jenga Tower which is one of the ugliest buildings I’ve seen in my life. Who the hell would build such a eyesore?
I guess if I lived in such a building, I’d contemplate suicide also. How did such a horrible thing even get built?
With that said, it looks like he killed himself over his professional failures versus his decision to live in such a profoundly ugly building. According to the reports I’ve seen, it doesn’t look as if there was any foul play involved with his death.
We may see more of these types of suicides as the West’s economy continues its collapse. There were many suicides that happened after the stock market crash of 1929. Lots of powerful Wall Street and business people got taken to the cleaners when the crash happened. Some of them couldn’t deal with their financial losses and they chose to kill themselves.
Either way, if you willfully choose to live in a building as hideous as the Jenga Tower, you are a person who does not deserve to live.
