China just released a domestic open-source desktop operating system based off of Linux called OpenKylin.

China has launched its first domestic open-source desktop operating system, which has been hailed as a software development breakthrough, amid Beijing’s technological stand-off with Washington.
On Wednesday, Kylinsoft, a subsidiary of state-owned China Electronics Corporation, unveiled the Linux-based OS known as OpenKylin 1.0. It was created by a community of about 4,000 developers and is currently being used by around 850,000 users, according to OpenKylin’s official website.
China’s first domestically grown OS can be installed on computers, servers, and smartphones and could even support Beijing’s deep space exploration program, according to CGTN.
This is a good idea. The global desktop operating system market is currently dominated by Microsoft Windows. Microsoft Windows represents about 74 percent of the market with Apple’s MacOS representing about 15 percent. The code for these operating systems are not available to the public so nobody really knows everything that they’re actually doing. My assumption is that they automatically send the NSA and Israeli Jews all of your data.
By having domestic open-source software alternatives, the Chinese will no longer have to rely on Western multinational corporations. Plus, there’s more transparency in using an open-source platform like Linux so you can have confidence that the OS isn’t spying on you and sending your data to evil Jews in the Middle East.
It’s also a good idea because Windows just keeps getting worse. It consistently requires all sorts of ridiculous updates to patch security vulnerabilities and bugs because they undoubtedly have armies of dumbass Indians doing code for it now.
On top of that, Microsoft was shoving the faggot flag down everyone’s throats last month. Windows 11 users couldn’t even remove it.
The bottom line is that there needs to be a better alternative to both Windows and MacOS. If the Chinese can develop a better alternative that would be a good thing. Preferably an alternative that isn’t shoving a faggot flag in your face for no specifically good reason.
