The entire emergency system seems to have failed as all this played out.
Listening to blizzard response in Buffalo on scanner. Emergency vehicles getting stuck; responders having to carefully choose what to respond to.
After I recorded these clips I heard one unit was told to abandon their [fire] rig and hoof it back to the station. pic.twitter.com/GQwll41kRJ

Just terrible scenes out of Buffalo overnight.
Buffalo FD has:
-Lost or abandoned numerous apparatus
-Walked to emergency calls
-Waited hours for EMS for a cardiac patient
-Had a civilian break into an abandoned fire engine and call for help on its radio.(h/t @TonawandaFire) pic.twitter.com/zMzRrQ2eTo

Every fire engine in the city of Buffalo is stuck in the snow according to Kathy Hochul – so how do cities prepare to rescue people when climate change starts throwing these storms around? The current infrastructure is totally inadequate for what's coming. pic.twitter.com/2djhEr5zJV

Sounds like a pretty serious situation in Buffalo.
But fuck all that, the Buffalo Bills won their football game in Chicago!

And you got racist snowplow drivers!!!
Shocking racism from Buffalo snowplow drivers complain about how many refugees there are while plowing:
"Lot of freaking refugees on this street, Jeeeeesus!"
"Yeah you'd think I live in freaking Africa or something"@MayorByronBrown doesn't care pic.twitter.com/Y6gJL515TU

The city was obviously not prepared for this potential emergency situation and it is just another damning indictment of how ridiculous this country has become.
