There was a massive power grid failure in Bangladesh leaving 140 million people without electricity.

Apart from parts of the county's northwest, "the rest of the country is without power," an official says.

They managed to restore power and blamed a “glitch” for the issues.

They’ve had issues sourcing energy and the country has already been experiencing rolling blackouts.

Bangladesh as a third world country should not be expected to have the greatest infrastructure, but this is a fairly sizable failure.
Maybe this also has something to do with their troubles.
The West is becoming the third world and the third world is becoming even more third world.
