People are posting video clips showing individuals walking around with the newly released $3,499 Apple Vision Pro ski goggle devices. It is being said that these spatial computing devices are turning society into a dystopia.
You, too, can live in a new tech dystopia—for the low, low cost of $3,499 plus $199 for a battery pack. https://t.co/asgAKTDs1x

This take is wrong.
Society is already a dystopia. Pretty much every horrible thing that old science fiction books and movies warned us about have been implemented in some form.
I do have serious questions as to the practical uses of these overpriced ski google devices but the devices themselves are not what is creating a dystopia. If anything people are using these devices to help escape from the hell that is modern day reality.
