The co-founder of Wikipedia Larry Sanger said in an interview with Glenn Greenwald that the CIA and the FBI were regularly editing the site as far back as 2008.
The co-founder of Wikipedia has exposed that CIA and FBI computers were being used to edit Wikipedia articles as early as 2008.
"We do have evidence that, as early as 2008, CIA and FBI computers were used to edit Wikipedia. Do you think that they stopped doing that?"

The original idea surrounding Wikipedia was not a bad one. It allowed for anybody to edit any and all articles to collect as much factual information about topics and ideas as possible. It was meant to be a neutral source of information and for awhile it served a good and useful purpose.
Unfortunately, the editing and moderating practice eroded to the point where you now have a site that is largely manipulated by government entities and other bad actors for a variety of nefarious political purposes. There is nothing “democratic” about the site.
None of this is remotely shocking. We all know the site has been heavily manipulated for years. It is however newsworthy that one of the people who co-founded the site is further confirming what we’ve already known.
