This seems to be an act of panic by the Jewish occupiers. Syria has been brought back into the Arab League after China struck a peace deal between the Saudis and the Iranians. All the divide and conquer tactics by the Jews to keep the Arab world fighting amongst itself is no longer working.
Israel has been allowed to exist as long as it has largely because they had the backing and/or control of the American military. America is now weak and its military no longer feared. All of this spells trouble for Israel which I presume is why they are doing what they are doing. This will prove counterproductive in the long run for them. They have few friends in the world.
