Iran is exerting more influence over Iraq as American influence is being pushed out. The small American presence that remains in Iraq will eventually be forced out just as the American presence in Afghanistan was pushed out.
It’s inevitable at this point. The entire region is tired of the illegal and unwelcome American presence in the region and this has only accelerated in recent months with the events in Gaza.
