The head of the CIA William Burns is very happy with the Ukraine war and thinks that it has created internal discord inside of Russia that they can take advantage of.

America’s top intelligence official has openly cheered the alleged internal discord that he claims is rising in Moscow because of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, saying the CIA has been given an historic opportunity to recruit spies and undermine President Vladimir Putin’s government.
CIA director William Burns claimed on Saturday at a Ditchley Foundation lecture in the UK that “disaffection with the war will continue to gnaw away at the Russian leadership beneath the steady diet of state propaganda and practiced repression.”
“That disaffection creates a once-in-a-generation opportunity for us at CIA, at our core a human intelligence service. We’re not letting it go to waste,” he added.
If that’s really the case, why are there reports that the CIA has been looking at forcing the Kiev regime to negotiate an end to the war?
Even still, this statement from the CIA Director just further proves how these people believe their own lies and bullshit. Russia is more unified then ever. Vladimir Putin has tremendous public support so the chances of the CIA recruiting Russians to betray their country is quite low.
The problem with the CIA is that the people at the highest levels aren’t interested in the truth. If you are an entry level analyst or a mid-level manager and you attempt to tell your bosses the truth, it is a great way to ensure that you never get promoted. Promotions are given to people who tell them what they want to hear. If that information is true or not is of no consequence.
What’s clear is that the top decision makers inside the CIA do not understand Russia nor do they care to understand Russia. Random people on the Internet like myself have a better understanding of what is going on inside of Russia. This is proven just based on how we’ve been more right than wrong about the Ukraine conflict and all of its fallout.
