Alex Jones is in court over comments he made about the 2012 Sandy Hook mass shooting being a hoax. He has since backtracked on those statements and has since said that the mass shooting was real. Be that as it may, he is in court for these 10-year-old comments because the Sandy Hook parents are claiming that Jones made their lives a living hell because he raised questions about this very strange event. They want Jones to give them hundreds of millions of dollars over this.
The father of a 6-year-old killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting testified Tuesday that conspiracy theorist Alex Jones made his life a "living hell" by pushing claims that the murders were a hoax. https://t.co/X95lbA42Kt

Conspiracy theorist Alex Jones conceded at trial that he now believes the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre was "100% real."
The parents who sued Jones said a day earlier that an apology wouldn’t be enough and that he needed to be held accountable. https://t.co/sQoXxuKaYR

The Sandy Hook families are asking for $150,000,000 in damages.
Note: Alex Jones' annual revenue is $50,000,000.
Jones looked visible ill when the Sandy Hook lawyers announced this in court yesterday.#AlexJones

I don’t even understand how you can be brought to court for simply expressing your opinion that a news event was a hoax.
Jones himself testified at the proceedings.
This is all a sham. This is really about destroying him financially so he is unable to continue operating his media businesses. There are people all over Twitter demanding he be financially ruined and put in prison.
Alex Jones deserves all of this. And bankruptcy. And prison time.

Weirdly enough, his lawyer “accidentally” sent the contents of his phone to the opposing legal team. There’s talk about how this could lead to perjury charges or whatever.
Wow. Sandy Hook parents' lawyer is revealing that Alex Jones' lawyers sent him the contents of Jones' phone BY MISTAKE.
"12 days ago, your attorneys messed up and sent me a digital copy of every text" Jones has sent for years.
"You know what perjury is?" the lawyer asks.

I’ve been a critic of Jones over the years for a wide variety of reasons. But I don’t believe the man’s life and business should be destroyed over him saying that the Sandy Hook shooting event was a hoax. The event itself was very weird and there are legitimate reasons to believe that the whole thing was a hoax.
All the people demanding that Jones be destroyed because they disagree with his political views are some of the most hateful and vile people imaginable. There is no reason for any of this and it shows how disgusting and corrupt the court system has become.
