Pilots at this level of the industry are generally paid very well, so if they are staging a protest like this you know things have gone totally off the rails.
The government basically caused most of the problems the airliner industry is having. They locked down the country over a fake pandemic and then forced airliner employees to get deadly experimental injections while making them wear masks. This caused many to quit or retire and has created staffing shortages both among pilots but also among key support staff. So as a result, these pilots are being asked to work abnormally long hours and shifts.
Expect the airliner industry and the rest of the country to get increasingly dysfunctional as time goes on. These problems are going to take years if not decades to correct.
