The Nigerian government has banned Twitter after they removed a post by the nation’s president.
#Nigeria's government said it had indefinitely suspended @Twitter's activities, two days after the social media giant removed a post from President Muhammadu Buhari that threatened to punish regional secessionists.@eriknjoka tells you more pic.twitter.com/h84tRcyAAk

Check out Twitter’s comical response to the ban.
We are deeply concerned by the blocking of Twitter in Nigeria. Access to the free and #OpenInternet is an essential human right in modern society.
We will work to restore access for all those in Nigeria who rely on Twitter to communicate and connect with the world. #KeepitOn

If Twitter really believed in a free and open Internet, they wouldn’t be removing posts from the president of a country. Just that act alone shows that they don’t believe in this concept.
They were rightly banned from operating in the country because they were interfering in the nation’s politics.
It’s really amazing that Twitter continues to issue statements like this. Twitter has proven time and time again that they do not believe in a free and open Internet. All you have to do is look at the countless people they have banned for having political views they disagree with. This the opposite of “free and open.” It is “controlled and closed.”
Countries have every right to ban social media services like Facebook, Twitter etc.. as they are nothing more than tools of the ZOG machine to extend its political influence.
