Jeff Sessions has lost his bid to reclaim his Senate seat to former football coach Tommy Tuberville.

Donald Trump endorsed Tuberville over Sessions which undoubtedly played a big role in Tuberville’s victory.
I’m not necessarily a fan of Tuberville but I’m not surprised to see him win. Sessions let the entire country be paralyzed over the stupid Russia hoax. We can debate the circumstances of the situation and why he recused himself, but he was in charge of the Justice Department when all that happened and is ultimately responsible.
The voters of Alabama obviously weren’t happy with this which is why they went with Tuberville.
It’s somewhat of a shame that all this happened since Sessions was one of Trump’s first major political supporters. But Sessions was a lousy Attorney General and he did not serve Trump well at all. At this point, Sessions should probably just retire from political life.
