Republicans like Josh Hawley and Marsha Blackburn don’t like what people are saying on TikTok about Jews so they want the app banned.

Others in the media and elsewhere are calling for the same thing.

Hawley is claiming that TikTok should be banned for national security reasons which is totally ridiculous. Sure, TikTok collects user data just like any other social media site. They are not however feeding that information to the NSA and other ZOG alphabet soup agencies that we absolutely know have been doing all sorts of nefarious things. He’s complaining about TikTok even though what Meta, Google and other Jewish big tech firms have been doing is far more egregious and dangerous to the average American. It’s not even clear what he is claiming that TikTok and the Chinese government is doing with this data that would harm Americans. He’s just making vague statements about espionage and propaganda.

It appears as if he is only claiming that TikTok is a national security threat so he doesn’t look like he’s against free speech which is his actual real position. Jews are upset that Zoomers were sharing content that made Jews and Israel look bad so Hawley and other Republicans are going out of their way to help them try and censor and blacklist content they dislike. It is such a stupid and shortsighted position.

Social media sites should be neutral platforms where all forms of political speech is allowed. The only time action should be taken against a social media site is if they are not offering a fair platform for the free exchange of ideas. Calling for a ban on a site because you don’t like the ideas being spread on it is a stupid.

Josh Hawley hates free speech and this makes him a big dumbass.

I’m not even a fan of TikTok. I think most of the content shared on it is garbage but I don’t think it should be banned. I also think there should be a broader conversation about the impacts that social media, mobile phones and other forms of technology have had on society. I’m totally open to having these conversations, but calls for censorship under the guise of national security is a horrible and wrong position. If you dislike the ideas being spread on a site, you should combat them with better ideas. Banning them just makes it look like you do not have better ideas to combat the ideas you dislike and that is the problem Hawley and these other moron Republicans have. Many of their ideas and political positions suck. Take in point their support for Israel’s genocide operations in Gaza.
