Looks like it is going to take a full month to get the power back up in New Orleans after Hurricane Ida rolled through the area.
Hurricane Ida knocked out all eight transmission lines that deliver power to New Orleans, leaving the entire city without electricity. Some of the hardest-hit areas won’t see power for weeks. https://t.co/705yoiWm8O

About a month to restore power, based off historical models, for the 10% in the direct path of #HurricaneIda in Louisiana. “Sooner” for the remaining 90%. Again, #NewOrleans had 8 transmission lines taken out. That is not a quick fix. #NOLA https://t.co/MXDWrCaCWP

It doesn’t look as if this storm will result in the same type of situation we saw with Katrina, but there is definitely a good chance that you could still see widespread looting by blacks. If this happens, we will be sure to post as much video footage of the chaos as we can.
Several weeks is a good amount of time for the power to be out, so I remain optimistic that we will see a substantial amount of looting before all is said and done.
