He had to step down as Pope in 2013 due to health issues that prevented him from carrying out his duties.
He was accused of not doing enough to prevent sex abuse within the church during his tenure. This was likely a ploy by his political enemies inside the church to discredit him, but that’s just a guess on my part.
Regardless of all that, he was a far better Pope than the Francis asshole who is Pope now. Francis is into all the gay shit and is a totally fake Christian. Benedict was against all the faggot shit and had a much more traditional view of Christianity.
Outside of that, I don’t really have a whole lot more to say about his death. The Catholic Church has been a disaster since the Vatican II Council quite frankly. It’s been all downhill since then.
