Look, obviously there are tons of fake accounts, but restoring free speech on one of the big social media sites is a far more important thing than haggling over a few billion dollars because of the bot issue. Especially for someone like Musk who has previously said that the finances around buying Twitter were not all that important to him.
So I don’t know what he’s doing with this. I get that you want to get the best deal possible, but prolonging this over the bot issue seems silly. Once you buy the site, you can fix the bot issue and implement ideas to make back those billions any way.
Or who knows, maybe Elon was just trolling the world with all this. Guess we’ll find out one way or another.
