The media is making a big deal about new internal Facebook documents that were leaked by the fake whistleblower Frances Haugen. Many believe that Haugen is an intelligence asset of some kind due to how much corporate media coverage and attention she has received.
THREAD: What are #TheFacebookPapers?
The papers are redacted versions of disclosures made by whistleblower Frances Haugen to the SEC, alleging Facebook was prioritizing profits over safety and hiding its own research from investors and the public.https://t.co/REFntxrk4c

There’s nothing really interesting here. The documents were leaked to purposefully push the media narrative that Facebook isn’t censoring enough, even though they already have fairly extreme censorship measures in place.
Look at how the Washington Post is spinning this. It’s them advocating for global censorship to prevent people from accessing “dangerous” content, which is basically just code for content that Jews dislike.
Internal documents reveal that Facebook has privately tracked real-world harms exacerbated by its platforms, ignored warnings from employees about the risks of their design decisions and exposed vulnerable communities around the world to dangerous content. https://t.co/yC0YqD7HFy

Donald Trump Jr. is acting like the leaks are a big deal because they show proof that Facebook has been censoring right-wing websites. As if we didn’t already know this.
Facebook caught red-handed suppressing traffic to @BreitbartNews and other conservative websites!!!

This is all part of a push to enforce government censorship regulations on social media sites. The idea being that they could put any competing social media sites like Gab out of business by requiring them to censor speech. They could even apply these regulations to message boards and forums. This would leave only the big Silicon Valley sites left standing as they would be the only ones who could even potentially deal with such regulations. But even that is questionable, because it is practically impossible to enforce some of the speech regulations that are being demanded. It would obviously depend on what sort of regulations would be enforced.
There should be some type of regulation of social media since they serve as a communication utility, but the way they are going about it is totally backwards. Free speech needs to be a requirement on these sites, not regulated out of existence, but the goal of this media blitz is to do just that. They don’t want people pushing narratives damaging to the ruling powers.
